Hemingway's A Moveable Feast

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast."

I used to love this book. It's the complete romantic vision of writers in the 1920's living in Paris. Although Hemingway was a bit harsh in his judgment of his contemporaries. Bottom line, I loved his honesty or his version of it. I went through whole Hemingway stage in high school, not so much anymore but this book still remains as one of my Hemingway favorites actually only likeable book. I haven't read it in a while but I think it's about that time again.

This has probably been triggered by my recently seeing "Midnight in Paris" on dvd. Although, not my favorite Woody Allen film but I still enjoyed it. My heart still belongs to "Annie Hall." Owen Wilson's character felt very familiar and had a bit of Woody Allen impression to it but he was amusing. Marion Cotillard was pretty wonderful though, but she always is. I guess even Woody Allen has the whole writer in Paris fleeting fantasy.
